DUMMY NEST EGGS

Sometimes called "fooling eggs"! Our white parrot sized wooden eggs can be used to encourage laying or sometimes can aid in discouraging egg breaking. We also offer blue plastic Canary breeder eggs which are used as substitution for laid eggs in order to synchronize hatching. CHROMALUX---Full Spectrum Light Bulbs

The closest thing to natural daylight available. Glare-free lights fit ordinary sockets. This purer whiter light closely simulates the sun at noon and helps improve the conditions of birds kept indoors. Light given off by the bulbs tends to make animals kept under them (at least 12 hr. per week ) more active and less likely to suffer from stress, to pick themselves, to experience irregular molts, to suffer from metabolic diseases, or to have breeding irregularities.  Choose wattage according to your light fixtures and brightness of light your bird area needs. Gail's Boot ("L") Boxes

Lef                                    This is my favorite nest box style. The advantage of the "L" shape box is that the birds climb down to the base without landing on eggs or chicks. It also gives them an area to which they can retreat during inspection. This design makes for easier observation and access. Allan includes a 3 ½" diameter entrance hole with interior ladder. Larger boot box is a roomy 11" X 18"X 24"H. Recommended for most med. to large parrot types. African Greys, Amazons and Eclectus especially like this box. The smaller box is a roomy 10" X 16" X 18" H. Liked by Indian Ringnecks, Timneah's and Large Conures.
